Caring Connections: A Hope and Comfort in Grief Program

Welcome to Caring Connections. We are the bereavement care program sponsored by the University of Utah College of Nursing. Our service mission includes care of grieving persons, education of health care students in the care of the bereaved and research in loss and grief.

Juvenile Justice Health Care Services

The University Of Utah College Of Nursing in partnership with the Utah Department of Health Division Juvenile Justice strives to provide optimal care for the physical and mental well being of incarcerated youth while educating future health care providers. To provide optimal care, we employ evidence-based practice in a holistic manner. We educate students through example, hands on experience and inquiry as well as engage in quality assessment. We engage in quality assessment to improve the health of our youth and to advance knowledge. We work to accomplish these goals through the core values of the College of Nursing utilizing respect, advocacy and benevolence while employing resources in a safe and cost effective manner.

Mental Health Services

The clinical mental health services offered in the College of Nursing provide counseling for individuals, families and groups. The psychotherapy is evidence-based and is conducted in a sensitive and confidential manner.
