GNL Certificate Program of Study
The GNL certificate program requires 14 credits of on-line course work which are completed over the span of 3 semesters. Once the courses have been completed, a student may take a certification exam which will be paid for by the Noorda Geriatric Scholar program if the exam is taken within 90 days of graduation from the courses.
First Semester (Fall)
- NURS 3003: Individual and Family Assessment (3) or GERON 5100: Applications of Research in Aging (3)
*students who apply with an Associates degree should take NURS 3003 and students who apply with a Bachelors degree should enroll in GERON 5100 - GERON 5604: Physiology and Psychology of Aging (3
Second Semester (Spring)
- NURS 5050: Best Practices in Geriatric Nursing (3)
Third Semester (Fall)
- NURS 4410: Integrated Nursing Practice (5)
