National Research Service Award (NRSA)
The program supports the students program of study and dissertation research under the guidance of a strong and well-matched faculty mentor chosen by the student. Awards to both individuals and institutions to provide research training in specified health-related areas.

Disadvantaged Faculty Loan Repayment Program (FLRP) provides for repayment of education loans for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who agree to serve for at least two years as faculty members at eligible health professions and nursing schools.
National Health Service Corps, a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has information about scholarships and loan repayment programs for health care professionals who practice in a medically underserved area.
Nurse Loan Repayment and Scholarship Program (NELRP) offers registered nurses substantial assistance to repay educational loans in exchange for service in critical shortage facilities. This program is administered by the Division of Nursing at HRSA.
