Master's to Doctor of Nursing Practice
Required courses: Master's to DNP (30 to 36 credits)
The MS to DNP program of study will be individualized based on previous education and experience and specialty requirements. The DNP program is offered on-campus, in an Executive format. Classes are held every 3 weeks, all day on Friday/Saturday.

Specialty Program Requirements or Geriatric Sub-specialty
Students have the opportunity to focus on geriatric specialty education in their electives. The University of Utah Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence will award scholarships to DNP students who commit to obtaining a 9-hour geriatric specialty by taking designated aging coursework. Additional coursework (15 credit hours total) can lead to a master's certificate in Gerontology.
