Why did you choose the University of Utah to pursue your doctoral degree?
"I am a Fellow of the Geriatric Nursing Leadership Academy supported by the Hartford Foundation and Sigma Theta Tau International. I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Ginny Pepper who described to me in detail the Geriatric Cohort PhD program at Utah. What impressed me most about the program was the faculty support and mentoring. Also the electronic sophistication of the program made me feel confident that I could pursue doctorial studies. Lastly, I appreciated the cohort concept of a diverse group of people throughout the United States forming a network of support and companionship through the journey."
Research Interests
The correlation of care manager relationships with older adults and adherence to self-management behaviors, characteristics that lead to the improvment of patient self-care, relational barriers and treatment adherence.
