Peggy is a Clinical Instructor with the University of Utah graduate Nurse-Midwifery and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner programs. Peggy began her nursing career in 1980 after graduating with a baccalaureate degree in nursing from the University of Wyoming. In 1986 she graduated with a master's degree and certification as a women's health nurse practitioner from the University of California, San Francisco. Peggy worked for many years as a women's health nurse practitioner in the San Francisco Bay Area and then in Salt Lake City after moving to Utah with her family in 1990. She obtained a post-masters certificate in nurse-midwifery in 1997 from the University of Utah and has since worked as a certified nurse-midwife in Utah County and with BirthCare HealthCare. Peggy believes in providing individualized, high quality, compassionate care to women and encourages women to play an active role in maintaining their own health.
