PhD Program

Financial Aid for PhD Education

The College of Nursing has varying types of doctoral incentive packages and scholarships available. Most awards and scholarships require full time study (9 credits/semester), and some include the opportunity for employment as a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant. Award packages sponsored by generous donors vary in funding from year to year. Financial aid awarded through the College of Nursing is typically used to supplement students' own national-level fellowships and scholarships.

The College of Nursing doctoral incentive packages are typically awarded on a yearly basis. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Melissa Pederson, PhD Program Manager at (801) 793-5732 or melissa.pederson@nurs.utah.edu for more information and to obtain an application.

The College of Nursing scholarships are awarded on a semester-by-semester basis. Interested applicants are encouraged to check the College of Nursing homepage for updated information or contact Anthony Shirley, Coordinator of Recruitment & Financial Aid, at (801) 581-8487 or a.shirley@nurs.utah.edu for more information.
