New U.S. News & World Report rankings

In a new 2017 category of U.S. News & World Report rankings, the University of Utah College of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (nurse practitioner) program ranked No. 16 in the country.
"I am so proud of the excellence of our Doctor of Nursing Practice program,” said Dean Trish Morton. “This program prepares midwives and nurse practitioners who impact the lives of patients and families and who will transform health care."
U.S. News released its annual graduate school rankings this week.
The college’s Nursing Informatics Program ranked No. 8, and the Nurse Widwifery Program ranked No. 9.
Overall, the college’s master’s program ranked No. 34.
At the same time, rankings for the University of Utah School of Medicine advanced. Among the best medical schools for research, the school's ranking has risen six places in two years, coming in at No. 46 in 2017.
