The local, state, and national media is all over Caring Connections evidence-based bereavement care to grieving persons in Utah. Directed by Dr. Kathi Supiano, Caring Connections offers grief support groups for those adjusting to the death of someone close. New this fall is a group focused on COVID-19 related grief, and a group focus on supporting persons who had COVID-19 and are dealing with emotional struggles related to their illness and any lasting symptoms.

Dr. Kathie Supiano along with her Public Health PhD student Alzina Koric and Dr. Eli Iacob wrote a paper titled Extending our reach: tele-health delivered grief support groups for rural hospice that will be published in Social Work with Groups.
Dr. Susanna Cohen was recently appointed as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Utah School of Medicine.
