Schedule an Appointment

First Year Milestone (MAP) Advising (September 28 – November 6)

Beginning Monday, September 28, we will be offering small group advising appointments for all first-year pre-nursing students at the University of Utah. These small group sessions will cover how to run and interpret a degree audit, as well as how to put together an appropriate spring semester schedule based off of your current coursework this fall. All of these appointments will take place via Zoom.

These meetings will also meet the requirements to have your first year MAP academic advising holds removed, which enables you to receive early registration for 1000 and 2000 level classes beginning on Monday, November 9.

You can sign up for a session online through this link: The Zoom login information will be emailed to you before your meeting time.

For any prospective or continuing students, from September 28 – November 6, advising appointment availability may be limited. For this reason, we are providing quick-answer drop-in advising on Tuesdays (beginning September 29 and ending November 3) from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM and on Thursdays (beginning October 1 and ending November 5) from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. These meetings will take place via Zoom. We will be using the waiting room function and will allow one student in at a time.

You may access the Tuesday drop-in advising session using this link:
(passcode: 995522) and this link: (passcode: 332211) to access the drop-in advising on Thursdays. Please note: academic advising holds will not be removed during drop-in advising times.

  • OCTOBER 22nd DROP-IN ADVISING UPDATE:  The October 22nd meeting has been cancelled. Please send questions to or log in next week to get your questions answered.
