The number of students accepted into NEAP varies year to year.  Depending on the strength and number of applicants, the cohort maximum is 72.

    1. Complete your pre-nursing coursework and apply to the pre-licensure track program through the regular application process.
    2. If you have extenuating circumstances, you may submit a petition to the Baccalaureate Admissions and Advancement Committee (BAAC) through your academic advisor at the College of Nursing.

We encourage you to apply to the Prelicensure Track through the regular application process.

If you do not get accepted, we strongly encourage you to schedule a meeting with the Academic Advising Center to plan your pre-nursing program of study at the University of Utah.  College of Nursing holds frequent Information Sessions to help you prepare to apply to the Prelicensure Track.
