Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
Women's Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNP) focus on providing care for conditions unique to women from menarche through the remainder of their lives as well as reproductive health care for men. WHNPs provide leadership and collaboration in the provision of comprehensive care in a variety of outpatient and acute care settings.

The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner graduate is prepared to:
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner by integrating theory, clinical expertise, and patient preferences to support the health of women and their families.
- Design, implement, and evaluate population-specific health care strategies while applying leadership and ethical principles to influence policy and system-level change.
- Adapt to the evolving health care environment and contribute to the advancement of the profession through lifelong learning, innovation, and scholarly engagement.

Graduates are prepared to sit for national certification from the National Certification Corporation (NCC). Upon successful completion of the exam, candidates are eligible to become certified or licensed to practice.
