At the College of Nursing, we offer four distinct paths to earn your bachelor’s degree in nursing:
Each is designed to support diverse learners on their journey to become skilled, compassionate nursing professionals.
The College of Nursing offers three Master of Science specialties:
- Online Master of Science in Nursing Education
- Online Master of Science in Nursing Informatics
- Online Master of Science in Gerontology
These fully online programs prepare nurses to lead, educate, innovate, and advocate in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
The College of Nursing offers nine Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) specialty tracks, including options:
- Adult/Gerontology Acute Care
- Dual Nurse-Midwifery/Women's Health
- Family Primary Care
- Neonatal
- Nurse Midwifery
- Pediatric Primary Care
- Psychiatric/Mental Health
- Post-MS to DNP: Clinical or Organizational Leadership
- Women's Health
These advanced programs equip nurses with the clinical expertise and leadership skills to drive meaningful change in healthcare.
The College of Nursing offers two PhD tracks:
- The distance PhD nursing program admits students who have earned a bachelor's degree with a major in nursing (BSN, BS) or a master's degree in nursing or related disciplines
- The traditional BS-PhD and MS-PhD tracks share a common program of study with the exception of nine additional MS cognate credits required for BS-PhD students
The College of Nursing offers four Dual DNP-PhD tracks:
- Adult/Gerontology Primary Care DNP/PhD
- Family DNP/PhD
- Nurse Midwifery DNP/PhD
- Women's Health DNP/PhD
These programs prepare nurse scholars to lead in both clinical practice and research, bridging the gap between science and care.
The College of Nursing also offers a Minor and an Undergraduate Certificate in Gerontology, giving students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of aging and enhance their preparation for working with older adult populations.
