On Tuesday, May 7, 2013 the College of Nursing Alumni Association hosted the 19th Annual Honors for Nursing. This annual celebratory event, held during National Nurses Week, provides an opportunity to recognize and support Utah's nursing professionals and those who provide support to nursing. Presenting Sponsors Intermountain Healthcare and University of Utah Health Care paid tribute to three nurses from their organizations who demonstrate exceptional professional and personal abilities which make for an exemplary nurse. We congratulate them, and all the nurse honorees who were recognized at this year's program.
That same evening, the Alumni Association honored Chris Chytraus for going above and beyond her career as a nurse when she established The Sharing Place, a grief support program for children, teens, and their families. Chris received the Association's Dare to Care Award at the banquet. We congratulate Chris and The Sharing Place for 20 years of service to our community.
