College Kudos: University Service, Student Recognition, and Publication

This week, College of Nursing faculty were appointed to university committees, a doctoral student reached a major academic milestone, and faculty contributed to published research.

University Service

Faculty were appointed to serve three-year terms on University of Utah committees. Each term will end August 1, 2028: 

  • Dr. Liz Greene was selected to serve on the Student Behavior Committee.
  • Dr. Linda Hofmann was selected to serve on the Conflict of Interest Committee.
  • Dr. Katarina Friberg-Felsted was selected to serve on the University Interdisciplinary Teaching Program Committee.
  • Dr. Brenda Luther was selected to serve on the Academic Appeals and Misconduct Committee.
  • Dr. Cathy Maxwell was selected to serve on the University Research Committee.
  • Dr. Xiaoming Sheng was selected to serve on the Conflict of Interest Committee. 

Student Recognition

Wen Tu successfully passed oral and written exams, and defended her proposal titled Acculturation and Its Association with Menopausal Symptoms and Self-Care Among Asian American Women During Peri- and Post-Menopause. Committee members are Dr. Lisa Taylor-Swanson (Chair), Dr. Evelyn Ho, Dr. Camille Moreno, Dr. Xiaoming Sheng, and Dr. Paula Meek.
